Yes, the entire property is air conditioned.

Our hotel would be disabled friendly except for the fact that we are unable to install a lift in this historic building (we’re on the 2nd floor).

Unfortunately not.

No, only in the public lounge.
» Is Catania a safe place to walk around?
Very safe indeed, petty crime in Sicily is among the lowest in Italy. Do however watch out for rogue taxi drivers.
» Is there a beach nearby?
Catania is home to some stunning beaches but they’re a bus ride away – bus number 427 to be precise. Check our Location page for an interactive map of Catania.
» Can we travel up to the crater of Mount Etna?
Yes you can, but only with a guide. Tours may be arranged via the Hotel Etnea 316 and depart from the hotel entrance at 9am. Set aside a whole day for this excursion.
